Using a £3 t-shirt from Primark, some grey lace 50p and some ribbon £1, add them altogether using ideas from

(scroll down and you will eventually see them)
bit of sewing gives you this;
A normal grey t-shirt from the front with a bit of a difference at the back!!
Notes to self;
I need to learn how to tie a bow properly as the way I do it, does not look as good, hmmm.
Also maybe not use a stretchy t-shirt as it does move a lot when sewing the lace.
I have done a black one as well but you can't really see it very well unless it's on and I can't take a picture at the mo as I'm on my own and in my PJs! Think I am going to use a red ribbon with the black t-shirt to make it stand out.
I am a beginner at sewing who has always wanted to make clothes so this blog is to show my successes and failures that i have along the way!

Ok so not sewing but still being creative!
I've recently just finished the summer term at my new school and I'm still alive!Yay!
To celebrate I went down to London to visit one of my lovely ladies,Ally, who has moved there with one of my other lovely ladies, Cat, to celebrate her new job so as a treat we went on a sandle making workshop where we would design and make our own sandles! This was at www.icanmakeshoes.com
After getting lost and dealing with rain (typical English weather) we got there and the creativity began!
Making flowers for the front of her sandles.
Cutting out all the lovely leather and suede for her sandles.
Final stage of gluing the soles onto the sandles so that we can wear them!
Ally's sandles- light brown suede soles with two tone brown leathers for the straps with a 3 tone leather plait for extra detail.
Gorgeous!
Cat's sandles- dark blue suede sole with yellow leather straps and buckle, with goregous blue checked flowers on the front! Cat definitly wanted flowers on hers and they look fab!
My sandles- Pink suede sole with brown and leather cross over straps at the front with a Tbar. There are three straps up the back to meet my ankle strap which are 2 brown with a pink strap in the middle.
Not sure why I picked these colours as I have no clothes but just thought the colours looked really good together.
Lovely day which ment we thought about this and nothing else. We all said we left all our worries and stresses behing and just focused on these which was brilliant and we all have gorgeous sandles as a result!
